No, I hadn’t seen it. O’Shaughnessy’s broke the Rimonabant story in ’04. Actually, we broke it in advance of its unfolding! A neat trick for which we did not get a Pulitzer… Martin Lee’s piece about research focusing on the CB2 receptor was a scoop, too, in 2009.

I notice the reporter and however many Discovery editors reviewed the piece define THC as “the active compound in marijuana.”  It’s truly mind-blowing that such ignorance prevails. I thought Project CBD had accomplished its basic mission, but I guess not.
Scientists like Xi have to work the addiction angle into their investigations in order to get funding from NIDA. What a waste of energy and intelligence.
